Andrew Juarez

Owner/ Lead instructor of Rise Above Self Defense.

Andrew is a CA DOJ (Department of Justice) approved Concealed Carry Permit (CCW) instructor. He is also an NRA certified Pistol, Rifle, and Personal Protection Inside/Outside the home instructor.  Andrew is also a U.S. Navy veteran and a black belt in Krav Maga.

Aaron Furey

Aaron has been an instructor with Rise Above Self Defense for three years. He is an NRA certified Pistol, and Rifle instructor.

Edward "Eddie" Garcia

 Newest member of the team.

Eddie is currently a firearm instructor apprentice. He started his apprenticeship in Jan 2025.
